About Taylor Safaris

The modern hunter and traveler is still as fascinated about Africa as were the first Europeans who set foot in the fairest Cape in the early 1800's. Even in today's turbulent world, Africa is a feast for the senses with the bush bringing ones faculties to life. The best Safari is the one that can bring you as close to nature as possible and that is what we intend doing whilst you are on Safari with us.

Taylor Safaris - (est. 1993) is privately run by the owners, William and Adri Taylor who are involved with most of the facets of sustainable conservation; i.e. game capture, photographic safaris, hunting safaris, scientific work, and game ranch management.

Our base area is in an area bordered by the Limpopo Valley in the North, The Soutpansberg mountain range in the South and to the east the famous Kruger National Park. (More about that in the location section)

Our camps consist of thatched huts with en-suite bathrooms. See gallery. Depending in which area you stay, some rooms will have air-conditioning or at the very least overhead fans. Huts vary from two single beds (or 1 double) to rooms, which can house 4 or more visitors. Swimming pools are also available at most camps. Telephone facilities are available at a nominal fee. Cell phones do have some reception in certain areas but they are not reliable.

The game and habitat in these areas are of the richest and diverse you can find, with over 25 large mammal species, 440 bird species and an unmentionable amount of trees, shrubs and grasses.

We have two archaeological heritage sites in close proximity. Bushman paintings are still to be found in some of the rock formations.

Under activities you will be able to see in more detail what we have to offer. We enjoy what we do and therefore every trip is made up as if we were going on Safari ourselves.
